Pros: What we love about the Adoric pillow
Large Volume of Memory Foam Fill
Adoric advertises that their pillow “contains enough fill to make two pillows”. Whether or not this is true probably depends on how thick and fluffy you like your pillows, but it is definitely true that theirs contain a much higher volume of foam fill than their competitors (up to 20% more, in fact).

They are not your typical memory foam pillow in that their foam is shredded instead of one solid piece. Some prefer the solid piece of foam, but the advantage of foam shreds is that it can be fluffed like a regular pillow to conform to your desired shape. The foam can also be removed to suit anyone’s preferences (more on this below).
Washable Cover
Memory foam pillows are famously un-washable, but it is nice that the Adoric pillow has a thick, removable cover than can be tossed in the washing machine from time to time.
Washing the foam pillow itself is not recommended, as is the case with most pillows of this type. The foam doesn’t really dry well and can get prone to mold or mildew.

Adjustable Height and Density
The foam filling of the pillow is in the central zippered pouch underneath the removable cover. This pouch is easily unzipped so that users can remove (or add) foam to their liking. This makes the pillow “adjustable”, in a sense.
Its mass appeal comes from the fact that it can be made into a relatively thin or very thick pillow depending on how much stuffing you add or remove. It does come stuffed pretty thick, so people with neck or back issues will definitely need to do some adjusting.
Hypoallergenic
Hypoallergenic bedding is becoming more and more standard these days, which is great news for allergy sufferers or those with skin sensitivities. Allergen-free items are doubly important for Airbnb hosts who need to ensure that their guests have a comfortable and restful night of sleep without worrying that they’ll wake up itchy! Thankfully, the Adoric memory foam pillow is hypoallergenic and suitable for almost everyone.
Cons: Where does the Adoric pillow fall short?
Strong Chemical Smell
Memory foam isn’t a natural substance, and the chemical composition can vary pretty widely between manufacturers. Due to the fact that it is usually a blend of synthetic plastic fibers, a lot of foam products can give off a pretty strong chemical odor.
The Adoric pillow does have several reviews mentioning that they’ve had to air out the pillow for at least a week prior to use, which isn’t ideal. Some report that the smell never fully went away, which is even worse and resulted in them returning the product. Since the foam itself isn’t washable, your best bet would be to remove and wash the cover while letting the foam air out for a while.
Requires Adjusting to Preference
While its adjustability can be a perk to some, others found it tedious to be constantly stuffing and un-stuffing their pillow in search of the perfect balance. If you want to keep adjusting your pillow as time goes on, you’ll obviously have to find somewhere to store all the extra foam in case you need it.
Foam Filling is Very Firm
Removing foam can make the pillow seem softer, but it can only ever be as soft as the foam itself. Quite a few reviewers stated that when the foam compressed down fully it was very firm. This is something to consider if you prefer a more cloud-like pillow.
User Impressions: What do people say about the Adoric memory foam pillow?
Soft and Supportive
Overall, most people described the Adoric pillow as the perfect mixture of soft and supportive. While the foam itself is pretty firm, removing some can be the key to creating a happy medium between great neck support and a comfortable sleeping experience. It is an especially ideal pillow for those who like a bit more head elevation.

Pain Reliever
The supportiveness of the foam helped a lot of users find their first restful sleep in quite some time! It certainly doesn’t flatten out like so many competing memory foam options, meaning you won’t wake up with a nasty head or neck ache. The ability to change the density of the filling is a fantastic option for people who have had a lot of trouble finding their perfect pillow in the past.

Comfort is Relative….
Unfortunately, you can never please everyone. Adoric does offer a 100 day money-back guarantee on its products, so you shouldn’t be afraid to give it a try! That being said, some users were never able to find the right filling-to-pillow ratio and ended up returning the product. Most of these complained that it wasn’t soft enough for them, we would recommend it for fans of firmer, very supportive pillows.
Rental Recon Tip: If you operate of have ever stayed at a rental property, then you understand the importance of clean, high-quality bedding. Airbnb hosts typically factor this cost into their overall nightly rates, and the cleaning fee covers the time and effort it takes to launder an entire home’s worth of bedding, towels, and more. In Conclusion
The Adoric memory foam pillow is a fantastic option for a pretty diverse array of people. The fact that it is adjustable means that almost anyone can make it suit their needs, but it is still not for everyone. The foam does compress down to be pretty firm, so fans of ultra-soft pillows may not be pleased.
Overall, we rate this pillow an average score of 8.7 out of 10, which is pretty amazing! I would highly suggest adding this pillow to your shortlist the next time you’re shopping for Airbnb or personal bedding supplies.
